weird, that arabs are combined together, and different phenotypes are considered all arab, while in the western mind of most, turks are distinguished, cut up according to their phenotype, and pushed out of the region, instead only placed in east asia mongolia... u cant be uralic, eastern european, balkan, meditteranean, anatolian, central asian, or a turk from the caucasus... yes, u can! if jews, arabs, greeks etc are categorized like that, turks can too! i wonder, if u can make a video about that?

I am Moroccan and we know this. Even in genetic analyses we do not find even 1% Arabs. Most of us are ethnically Berber, but we have become Arabized and lost our original language. However, a large number of us still speak Amazigh.

Yemenis, Saudis and Desert Bedouins are the true and original Arabs!

Arab is a loose term similar to Spanish or Latino. Early Islamic historians over estimated Arab migrations to glorify the new religion

Arab is NOT a race or ethnicity, it is a geopolitical and cultural identity (exactly like American). An Arab can be Snow White, White, light Brown, Dark Brown, Light Black, Dark Black. It includes many ethnicities

I don't understand why you picked up American actor John Turturro who is italian as a representation of the arab. Couldn't you find a pic of an actual Arab?

I'm proudly Arab from Morocco, with amazigh roots and we Arabs are not an ethnicity we're a culture and a sense of belonging to our region of North Africa and West Asia, we can be black, light-skinned or whatever we are all Arabs and proudly so. We can be Egyptian, amazigh, black... We're all Arabs by our Arabic tongue and our Arab cultures (plural)...

I'm Moroccan, everyone keeps saying that we are genetically berbers, and I tried to read many dna tests and analysis, and never found any one of them saying that we have berber, genes, what it says it shows that people in north africa are diverse and many groups are more or less close and distant from each other,
So please tell us what is a Berber DNA, if this even means anything at all. and why we should consider north african to mean berber, when many other ethnic groups lived in north africa like Carthaginians and romans.
And finally many papers I come across show the similarity between people from the Maghreb and middle east showing many waves of migration and interaction across the two sides of nile river, which also well documented historically, so how come that there are no arabs in north Africa ?

I totally disagree about Ancient Egyptians as not being Africans not linked to sub Saharan Africa. Remember 1) term sub Saharan is very recent is not ancient 2) what do you mean by Ancient Egyptians, which period, kushietes, Nubians not the ones lead to the Pharaohs later the Egyptian civilizations 3) is Ethiopian sub Saharan or not, it is more complex than your simple claim, I am from Tanzania and my dna is linked to the Sudan, so don't spread this kind of info without proper research. Ancient Egyptians were definitely black from biblical and Quranic facts

Hey there!! DNA Uncovered. Can you make a video about Siberian ancestral origin? Because I always wonder why Siberians and East Asian look more alike than to central Asians, however they’re genetically closer to central Asians. Are just a mixture of Haplogroup N/O and C?
And did Mongols and Manchurians migrated from Central Asia or central Asians just another group formed separately from east and northeast Asians??

Arab is not an ethnicity. Is a linguistic term. Arab culture and linguage developed under the caliphate which people that where under that "empire" like unity are now arabic country and arab people doesn't mean they are from the arabic penisola which they aren't but doesn't mean they aren't genrticalmy or culturally and linguistically linked as many empires linked the populations that where under the caliphate togheter before as Carthage, Roman empire, Byzantine empire, Nabateam empire, Berber Emprie, Egytian Kingdoms, Aksum, Assyrian empire, Bayblonian empire....

There are a few generalisations in this video. You classed Iraqis as having significant Arabian ancestry and a component of Iranic ancestry. But you have to remember that Iraq is a huge country and amongst us Arabs in Iraq, there are going to be some differences from region to region. Eastern Iraqis do have some Iranic component, but in the West of Iraq, there will be a very small Iranic component if any at all. In Oman, from what I have heard and read, the Arabs in that country hardly mix with the Baloch minority. It is most likely maritime trade as you also suggested that has given some Omanis the Iranic admixture.

But I will also add, it's not just the Peninsula Arabs or us Iraqis that have the highest Arab admixture, as Eastern Syrians and most Jordanians also have very high Arab admixture and Arab ancestry. Even those in Western Syria or Lebanon have some Arab admixture in varying amounts. @3:43 you showed an example of the genetic make-up of muslim Levantine Arabs and the example shows an admixture of 76.4% from the Arabian Peninsula. That is a significant amount and so people who live in the Levant with this much Arab admixture can clearly be defined as Arabs.

I thought it was common sense at this point that most Arabs who identify as Arab, aren't actually ethnically Arab. They only identify as such due to speaking Arabic as a first language.

Real Arabs are the Bedouins who still live in tribes.

You are assuming that Haplogroup J-M267 aka J1 is the original Arabian DNA.
But in Fact is not. J1 is originated in nowadays Iran only 6, 000 years ago
Meanwhile the Natufians E-Z830 and others were existed in Arabia for over 15, 000 years.
The first Arabian people known in History, 3000 to 5000 years ago are a mixture of J1, J2, E1b1b1b and others groups.
