Can you do a ‘dust test’? The only thing that stops me from buying clear cases is the visible dust that seeps in and is visible on the back of the phone through the case. Are there any that manage to stop the dust from creeping in the back?

Hi Aaron,

I ended up getting the Catalyst Influence case for the iPhone 12 based on your review a year ago. Your review and tests were really compelling and I was convinced that the case would last many years. My case ended up breaking (side panel detached from the back panel) about a year after I got it which was disappointing, but I assumed perhaps I just got a bad unit. I was more disappointed by the response when I reached out to Catalyst. I was 2 weeks outside the warranty period (1 week if you consider when I actually received the case in the mail) and they offered me a 30% discount. I understand that that might be a strict policy for them but honestly I expected a better product and customer support experience for a case that is decently more expensive than several of the other competing cases on your list.

Thanks for your hard efforts on the video, I'm still convinced I happened to receive a dud, but I am honestly just all-around disappointed with the product and service and won't be buying Catalyst in the future. Just wanted to share my experience.

Can’t believe you guys left out the Peel clear cases! No real protection but a segment/recommendation for super thin clear cases like the Peel case would have been very nice.

Personally looking for a clear case but not bothered about drop protection.
