Man O Man Australia Promo 1994

It’s one of the most classic shows of the 1990s it’s Man O Man based on the German show Mann-o-Mann hosted by Rob Quest it was a male beauty pageant format with the woman in the studio audience voting via a series of games and there can only one winner with the winner receiving a prize it’s best remembered for the swimming pool which cost $200,000 to build at the Channel Seven Studios in Melbourne if a contestant gets eliminated they get pushed into the water and it aired on Saturday night’s up against Hey Hey it’s Saturday in the ratings it lasted from February 5th to November 25th with the last episode being a Footballers Special that featured players from the AFL, Rugby League and Soccer it got cancelled at the end of the 1994 season the show did get nominated for a Logie in 1995 for Most Popular Light Entertainment Program the format was sold to 6 countries including a successful run in the UK hosted by Chris Tarrant for ITV and as a one of Special in the U.S. hosted by Michael Burger it was the 1st Game Show to air on UPN this is Man O Man enjoy the video.
