Back to the future - here we are 11 yrs later and Ren is being named the most talked about artist of the yr and his song /performance of Hi Ren is being touted as the song of the century because of the effect it has had so many thousands of people. I am so glad he had the courage to persist even through all his health problems and we have him today.

When I went to University about 25 years ago I lived in halls with 80 other people. I was a bit of a mess. I struggled with anxiety a lot and I had a bloke who lived in the room over the corridor from me. He was really laid back, his motto was, "it'll be alright". Whatever the situation, whatever the stress he'd just shrug his shoulders and say, "it'll be alright".

I'd never encountered that attitude before. I'd never experienced anyone just letting things go.

And you know what? He was absolutely right, 100% of the time. It was always alright. Yes, sometimes shit happened but it was always alright.

I still think of him a lot. He taught me to use that mantra whenever things got tough. I owe him a lot.

And this song makes me think if him and smile.

60 Years old and i am sitting here loving this band and their music. Everything about them is the enjoyment of what they do. They will go to the top without a shadow of a doubt but right now are the special times and i am so glad i got the be here. Please dont let the music industry take any of that away from you because with or without them you are a band of very talented brothers. Enjoy, oh and try to make it to the Isle of Man sometime :)
