1. A list of Aldi interview questions I recommend you prepare for;
2. Example ANSWERS to help you PASS your Aldi interview;
3. The QUALITIES you MUST demonstrate during your Aldi interview;
4. Further resources to help you PASS your Aldi interview!

5 TOP TIPS FOR PASSING YOUR ALDI INTERVIEW
TIP 1 - First impressions are really important! The Aldi hiring manager’s have seen in all before, so you need to impress them with how you act, what you say, and your enthusiasm for the role.

TIP 2 - Dress smart for your Aldi interview. Make an effort and remember, when you work for Aldi, you are representing their brand – Aldi has spent many years nurturing its brand and reputation, so you need to look the part and take the interview seriously.

TIP 3 – Prepare answers to all of the Aldi interview questions detailed in this presentation and make sure you have VALID reasons why you want to work for Aldi. Make sure you also carry out a mock interview!

TIP 4 – Carry out some research and find out what Aldi does and the standards the company adheres to. For example, did you know ALDI is a combination of ALBRECHT and DISCOUNT. The chain was established in 1946 by two brothers (Karl and Theo Albrecht) and it operates on an ‘everyday low prices’ principle.

TIP 5 – Great customer service and strong work ethics are important aspects of working for Aldi. Think of times when you have provided excellent service to someone previously, and also think of situations you have been in when you have worked with other people to achieve a difficult task (team work).

Okay folks, so fresh out of my Aldi interview, I write this from the car park.
The interview process lasted roughly 15mins, I was greeted by the area manager(well presented young fellow), who took me back of house to the office area.
I was first asked why I wanted to work for Aldi. He wasted no time in asking me this and I hadn't even sat down yet.
I was asked what my day would consist of in my previous job.
I was asked about my previous job(Primark) and he was very keen to know why I didn't want progress further there.
I feel that throughout the interview I was getting quizzed an awful lot of why I left my previous job which I wasn't expecting and hadn't fully prepared what I wanted to say on that matter.

I then had a chat with the store manager, which felt much more casual, he gave me a quick rundown of the stock room and back of house areas before heading back to the office. This is when I was asked about the greatest challenge I may face if I started working at Aldi.
The store manager also asked me about merchandising which was very unexpected and Im not sure I answered this one as best as I could.

Manager also put emphasis on the special buys aisle and the importance of that(highest profit margins)
I was also asked when I go to my local store, what is it I first notice about staff.
There was an emphasis on time constraints and how quickly a pallet should be worked. And if I feel I would be up the task.

I asked the Area Manager about how long training process would be. I was told it used to be 12 weeks but this has been halved recently.

I asked the Store Manager general questions about the particular store that I was being interviewed in.
(How well does this store perform?, why do you think that is ?etc.)

I am very unsure of how well I did, I didn't do as well as I would have liked.
I was caught off guard due to the fact that I was first speaking with an area manager and the fact I haven't had a formal interview of this nature for almost 10 years.
Flexibility was also asked. The store which I applied for was now allegedly 'full' and I was asked how I would feel about going to another store and the potential of being on a fixed term contract. I maybe started to sound a bit desperate around this point as I was keen to express how I have no children and I'm not a student, so my life can be devoted to work and I'd just be very happy to have had the experience of working for an Aldi store.

I feel overall that Aldi are wanting people who are fully flexible, fighting fit and capable of hitting the ground running.
This was for store assistant position.
Hope this can help someone.

(Update, an hour later I was called and offered the job from the area manager)

Just got out of an interview for a Store Associate in the US and am writing this in my car. There was no tour. There was 6 of us in total and they split us up. 3 of us went into the office and she asked 3 us questions 1 by 1. “What do you think your typical day here at Aldi would look like” “Why do you think would you be an asset to our store” “give an example of a difficult situation you faced at work and how you overcame it”. That was it, No other questions. then after she stressed that Aldi is a difficult job it’s not for everyone. Interview started at 9:30, I was out of the store by 9:45. Tbh it was really rushed and awkward, even with all my previous retail experience I don’t feel confident. Good luck to anyone who reads this 💯

My wife has over 12 years of experience in customer service and has been in Management for the past 10. I'm trying to convince her to apply to Aldi's just as a store associate - she's got loads of experience but I've heard Aldi is difficult to get into so thank you for sharing these tips!!

Mr. McMunn, I had my 3rd ALDI interview today and I spoke very well thanks to you sir! The director asked me exactly what you set down in your videos; 1. Tell me about yourself and why you want to be a supervisor at ALDI. 2. Why are you a good fit for this position at ALDI? 3. Tell me about a time when you faced a problem and had to make a decision. 4. Where do you see yourself in 5 years? 5. Do you have any questions for me? Thank you for your help and next time I have an important interview I will buy your program because you are right on the $$$.

Today I had my video interview and the questions I was asked:
1-Name, preferred store location and what interests you about working for Aldi?
2-Can you provide practical examples to explain what skills and attributes you could bring to the role?
3-Give an example of a time when you have given or received excellent customer service, what made this service excellent ?
Surely this video helped me a lot. Thanks✌🏻

I tried to use what I learnt on here when I had an Aldi assessment a few days back for a cleaning position. I didn't get the job. The person who did my assessment focused on my hobbies and degree and quizzed me extensively on how long I commit to each hobby each day. The questions about the job I was asked were why I wanted to work for Aldi and what transferable skills I had. So I mentioned being a chef for a long time, and they said you do realise a store is bigger than a kitchen.

Hi, yesterday I bought the questions and answers. And this it is a help not only for this company interviews but for any other. I didn't want to enroll in the free course for 30 days because I don't have a job to pay for it next even I cancel and you're won't charge me later. Thank you! I would recommend it to anyone.

Just completed my application for a local Aldi due to open soon, I have already covered a few of these answers before coming across this video, so hopefully I’ll be selected for interview 🤞🏻...but as for any new Aldi store, there are a lot of applicants! If I’m not selected I know I can at least say I have given it my absolute all, I’ve put a lot of thought into my answers and really don’t think I could do much more to win them over and that’s assuming my application is plucked out in a handful out of thousands of others cause I doubt they read every single one, maybe there’s an element of luck 🍀
