I have dyslexia... WHY DID NO ONE TELL ME THAT ALL THOSE THINGS ARE RELATED TO MY CONDITION, I WAS TOLD IT WAS JUST SPELLING.

My childhood bestie had dyslexia, but not autism. I’m the other way around. And yet I always wondered how we were so different yet so extremely similar at the same time. Even down to how we’d be isolated from our classmates in middle school. And then we’d find eachother to chill together during lunch.

This explains so much.

This is really interesting to me on a intellectual and a personal level, thank you!

Makes a lot of sense. Both run in our family.

I didn't understand why i did this but i noticed it and some of these things i didn't know that I was doing was not looking at the person who i was talking to. Remembering what i just heard and focusing troubles is why i couldn't remember things. I caught myself last night when I said the sentences backwards. I wish i didn't do that. I stopped talking when i first started talking when I was 3/4 years-old. I didn't want to talk when everyone was laughing at me.

I thought dyslexia was just a disability related to processing written language. I didn't realise it had other traits. Thanks for raising awareness.

Sometimes I feel like people are talking about two completely different issues while talking about autism. It is so different from one person to the next that there almost seem to be no overlap.

Interesting how I’ve always found it so easy to read. I’m curious about dyslexia though, like where exactly does the difference lie. How does a dyslexic person experience looking at a regular text? I don’t know if the classic description of “jumping letters” does a good job of describing it.

I grew up with dyslexia and add, I also grew up exposed to lots of mold and various kinds. I'm currently being exposed to the most and worst kind of mold that I can remember. I want to know if this caused my issues or just made them significantly more difficult to live with.

Some people might need this to understand their children or grandchildren if yk some children might need this to understand siblings (correct me if I'm wrong)
