Love this song and your rendition is an incredible and heartfelt tribute to Willie, especially your entirely successful capture of his idiosyncratic guitar style. My girlfriend and I moved from New York to Colorado in May of 1980, both huge fans already of the Waylon and Willie album in 1978 and this song came out soon after. Great reminder of being dirt poor, fancy free and total freakin' happy.
