The question of condensation in the foot section was one of my main questions when I built this design. I don't seem to sweat as much as other people and I never have condensation issues beyond a sheen of moisture on the inside wall in the morning when using single wall tents (which is all I use by the way). I've never had any drips or accumulated water on the floor in any tent. And I never had any significant issue with condensation in this tent either. There may have been a small patch or two of dampness on the outside of the foot of my sleeping bag, but nothing significant. The vents in the main section of the tent provided plenty of ventilation.

Won’t your sleeping bag get wet from condensation by touching the single tent wall in the Bivy part?

hello im trying to make a free standing tent myself. i dont know a single thing about design so i thought id ask you directly. How do you get the right tension when designing the tent. I have design set just a rectangle base with a triangle top but how would i go about setting the tension to where its not too tight or saggy?

I dont see how you could backpack with those poles and if you're not backpacking you don't need that light of a tent. Also the footbox needs support or your bag will be touching the walls and getting wet from condensation. That's not as important if it's only for one night. And where does the condensation go? To the floor of the tent. There's a reason why Zpack builds a bathtub floor in their tents separated by a screen . . . because it's NEEDED
