Love how despite everything they’ve done, everything they’ve been through, all that they’ve learned… In the end, they’re still doing the bird trick.

"the audience knows the truth. the world is simple... miserable... solid all the way through." astonishing line.

Doesn’t get enough credit. Such a good film.

Moral of the story: When Michael Caine says Borden is using a double, Borden is using a goddamn double.
Listen to Michael Caine.

In my opinion this is Nolan’s best film ever. Ending gives me goosebumps as always

Still the best movie I have ever seen. The level of details in this film. All the symbolism all along. The whole movie is actually a magic trick. Have you been watching closely ? Nolan put easter eggs all the way through the film but we didn't pay attention. We just wanted to be fooled.
Damn how I love this masterpiece !!!

"It took courage to climb into that machine every night, not knowing if I would be the man in the box, or in the prestige."

I love this line because it shows that Angier, despite seeing and using Tesla's machine, still doesn't understand how it works at all. He's legitimately killing himself every time he performs with it, with his clone moving on with the memory of success. The original Angier is already dead, but his copies all think the same.

In my humble opinion, this is the best death scene in cinema. Powerful, Flawless, and Perfectly Acted.

One thing I love about this masterpiece is that both Borden and Angier are the antagonist and protagonist. While the Borden twin that survives (the one that loved his wife Sarah and his daughter) is clearly the protagonist and his brother (the one in love with Olivia) is the antagonist. As for Angier, he starts off as the protagonist but then slowly becomes the antagonist of the film just before this amazing climax.

I always like the part where Jackman says Bale's trick was too easy and Bale says, "Simple yes, easy, never" and then goes on to explain all the sacrifices that had to be made.

fantastic film! The more I study it, the more complex the script gets. The Nolan brothers are geniuses

Lol just realized Michael Caine looking around with all the bird cages around him while Borden is looking around and there’s water tanks all with dead Angiers. Kinda like Angiers the bird in the trick situation.

"you have to bring it...back." that layered dialogue timed with the reappearance of borden and the triumphant music. i swear this is the most nolan-esque nolan movie.

Truly a masterpiece. The movie shows not only enemies but two extremes on what the art is for. Borden is an "art for art" artist, and that's why he's having a hard time selling his act, and Danton was always about to provoke an impact and being able to see it, enjoy it himself.

Tbh that final shot of dead body of Angier in the tank, drowned, indicating that all the other tanks had such bodies of Angier's Prestige was more greatest twist and blew my mind more than the twist of Borden Twins

Borden: It takes nothing to steal a man's work.

Angier: It takes everything....

That line is pure truth.

“It was the look on their faces” That line was the real prestige for me. The whole movie we think Hugh’s character is the villian, but then you see his true selflessness, sadly in his last line. He literally gave away his life 100 times just to brighten the audience’s day
