It's called social security when it isn't even secure. Anyone can snatch it right away. The number is shown right on the card. Their should be a pin that you should have to access your info.

i have the government telling me i owe taxes on money i made working for a company i never worked for and never heard of . this guy seems to have this problem many times over. seems several people did this to this guy. do companies not properly verify the people that go to work for them ?

Being a victim of identity theft is no laughing matter. I should know because as of yesterday I received a letter saying that I borrowed a financial loan which I never did. And my question was this. Why did this happen? I didn’t give out my social security number at all. And I don’t know who’s behind it but my mom & I are going to deal with it and in the hopes that it gets resolved immediately and hopefully I won’t go through this mess again.

If someone was arrested For a dui and gave another persons name
Because they were very intoxicated and scared to go to jail
Then they are released that same night
The next day they relize they Made a Big mistake by giving another name
They want to turn them self in but now are scared to get in more trouble so they just keep going with it
hire a lawyer go to court get community service and probation and have to get a certificate at a dui class
But now the probation officer is catching up to it what can the charges be when cought?

The way i see it if they assign you to a new one whats going to happen with years of taxs been done with the previous ssn not fare if someone else take credit for it. I would fight it no way. I have been a victim too I have reported it they know its a crime I won't let people get away 😡💪
