Any specs on the 345B1C? I think it's the model left to the 439P9H.

4:03 Thanks... just what I was looking for and demonstrated well. But unless what Philips says is not true @ 4:16 that's not the viewing angle and it really is Philips dimming technology designed to save energy and extend the life of the monitor... IF SO it works amazingly well! And to confirm that is simple...

another person (or a camera acting as a 2nd observer off to the side) needs to stand in front of the monitor to see if the local dimming switches back on which will allow a second person off to the side to see the picture so it's not a security feature if the picture comes back on with someone remaining in front of the monitor.

I wouldn't under estimate Philips ability to move technology forward... as it has in the past making light bulbs despite going though "a few" changes in management over the years. When you see reviews reporting the same quality control nightmares of $1000+ monitor panels failing just after warranty (or even during the first year) Philips 4 year warranty adds a lot to the true value without the need to buy an extended warranty which adds a lot to the cost and is unlikely to match Philip's confidence in their QC which based on my receiving a call back within 24 hours requesting product information is real... and that's unusual.

One giant type for a commenter, one small leap for firstkind.

Love those curved monitors, at first I thought it won't take off, but they are actually quite good. Instead of having two monitors you can work on one large and gaming would be fun too.

went off philips when i got a TV with satellite decoder built in then only to find hundreds of blank channels, repeated channels and you can't have any sort of logical order to the channels because the did not use freesat like everyone else on the planet. shame because i love the philips ambilight

Ambi-glow is distracting and pointless. And those shiny stands are gonna reflect in your face. Keep dreaming Philips
