In this 72nd Video from Classic Car ChitChat you will get to see a beautiful 1980 Chevy Camaro Z28 Restomod with a Gear Drive! This car has been lovingly restored by her owner David who has owned it for over 27 years. The car has a 383 Stroker Engine with an exhaust system that makes this beauty “roar”. The can was retrofitted with a 5-speed manual transmission in a blue metal-flake colour that can only be described as a mesmerizing blue.

In case you are keeping Track this is Video # 72 of Classic Car ChitChat Videos!

I hope my Classic Car ChitChat video’s make you smile. I do them in my spare time because I truly love cars and my intentions are simply to honour the beautiful cars I get to see and to really understand the passion and love of the vehicle by the driver (or caretaker as Jay Leno would say) of the car. I also understand too that my videos perhaps lack the polish calibre of great YouTubers like: Doug DeMuro, Scotty Kilmer, and of course my favourite Supercar Blondie. I also know that I can’t even come close the quality & finish you get from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and the boys at Top Gear. I think they use a little fancier equipment than my little iPhone… LOL

Mission Statement:
My Objective through creating these videos is to shine the spotlight on people who love their vehicles whether it be a car, motorcycle, or even a bicycle…. Bottom line is if it has wheels and you love it then let’s show that passion to the world!

Equipment Used:
Camera – Just an iPhone SE (Nothing fancy – which proves anyone can use whatever you have handy to make a video… you don’t need really expensive equipment)

Gimbal – DJI OM4 - For that ultra-smooth cinematic look. (To be honest... still not quite sure how to use it but one day I will figure it out!)

Audio – Rode Wireless GO II (I gotta be honest… this is really the biggest investment that was made… I wish there was a cheaper option but after the first couple of videos I soon realized that audio quality is important and hopefully better than the onboard mic on the iPhone!

Contact Details: If you have any questions or just want to chat you can reach me through all the (non-traditional) typical ways through the following:

If you have read this far, then I thank you. As always, I truly appreciate your “thumbs-up”, and by leaving your comments it demonstrates to me that I managed to get you involved and hopefully made you smile. Most importantly when you subscribe to my channel then you are truly acknowledging my effort to help share with others like you my passion and love for “all things that have wheels” and honouring the people who take care of them.

Thank You
Kevin

Wow!! I rescued a 1980 from a junkyard a little more than 10 yrs ago knowing nothing about restoration but only that I always wanted one. 4 engines later (305, 350, 5.3, and finally 6.0 lots of learning off YouTube she’s ready for primer and paint. Love it!!

Beautiful Z. I have had mine for 17 years and finally at a point where I can start thinking about a full restoration. Yours is great inspiration!

Beautiful camaro. My brother had that car in 89. Same color, exactly. I have a 79 z/28. Had it since 1990. After 2 different 350s, it's getting a 5.3L. Yes, om joining the ls swap group. Lol

Cars used to be designed by the artist, then as closely made after the ability of mass production could do. Now it's mass production VS what a human had designed as art. If only we could go back to primarly artist made vehicles, with the new technology incorporated, without the loss of human art! Anyone agree?

Had one when I was a kid. Mine was the dark blue with gold trim and T top. God I miss that car. I always wanted to make it look as pretty as this one

My brother had an 81 dark met blue, saddle interior, with the gold Z28 stripes. This generation Z is hard to find and under values. Beautiful representation of a classic!

I just bought myself a Z28 for a MASSIVE DEAL from my uncle. (I've been wanting his car since I was 8) He rebuilt the engine and transmission and has 60k original miles. All that's left for me to do is tidy up the seats and get it repainted (original paint ofc). I've just been watching videos and reading some forums so I can get to know the car more and stumbled on this one. So sick love it.

I was working for UPS when they came out. I stopped at the dealership on my way home and dreamed of buying one just like that. I later bought a corvette but never forgot that car.

Beautiful car. My first car was an 81 Z28 that was white with blue stripes. The air induction hood with the flaps that open at full throttle my friends thought was the coolest thing ever.

I worked as a painter in a chevy dealership bodyshop from 78 to 81 and I drove alot of these and there was about 30 to 1 automatics to 4 speeds I loved the 4 speed cars.i repainted a few that same color also the owners son had a corvette that color and they never had enough paint on the hood roof and trunk you could see the factory sealer through the paint on a few my bosses daughter had a berlaneta the same color I repainted just the hood on it. That's a really clean car you have I'm building my 88 monte carlo ss I have a 661 hp 427 big block I built for it with a manual valve body turbo 400 with a reverse shift pattern
