Julia tested the new line of Strandberg basses - how does the whole ergonomic concept work out for bassists? Fan Fret & Headless just like their guitar counterparts, these basses are among the lightest instrument Julia has played in her life!

Julia's enthusiasm for these instruments is really contagious. Now I want one, too (and I don't even play the bass).

"I am from Austria, and my grandfather has like five sheep..." weird flex, but okay.

That is a very well thought out (ergonomic) bass. Julia is a great presenter. She also is enjoyable to hear playing the bass.

Love to see how excited you are haha. Most videos are restrained and technical.

Thank you for having such a thorough review of this bass. I fell in love with it just from the appearance. My name is Cliff and I'm from The West Indies. Caribbean music is my thing, though I Play other genres.
The many things I like about this bass, including the fact that it's light, it's headless, and it's short. Your review has convinced me highly of all other things I find very interesting about it. I'm 67 years old. I've been playing for about 40 years or so - and would love something lighter, something different. I believe the Strawberg is the way to go, Thanks again. You're a wonderful demonstration.

Very interesting. I follow Sarah Longfield who has several Boden guitars, both 6s & 7s and she loves them. Initially because of the lightness, but she had the same response to the fanned frets. She is quite small and has small hands so the angle of the frets makes it much easier for her. The basses sound great, and it looked as if the action was nice. I used to play a Rickenbacker 4001S so one of these would be only about half the weight! Very nice playing Julia.

I love the body shape and love that it can be played on the left thigh! I love the fact that it is really light which saves your back on long practice sessions. I love that it comes in a 4 and a 5-string as i am currently shopping for a 5-string for a more melodic approach to bass playing. Strandberg makes awesome instruments, i might pay them a visit when i visit Germany. Thank you Julia!

You obviously had some pleasure trying these. So cool to see. Thanks Julia

A multi-scale headless bass can be had from Kiesel for roughly half the cost of a Strandberg. I have a standard scale Kiesel Zeus and it's great.

the 5- string sounds amazing. I have a 5 - string peavey myself but the B-string is missing the clarity of the other strings, which the b-string of the strandbergs absolutely delivers

Looking at Julia'a impression of metal bass players at 7:06, are we sure she is not trolling us and in reality she is an Austrian Classical Musician?

I've played this bass recenly (4 string original). It's amazing!
Cool neck, light body, very crisp rich and clean pickups

If I'd had 3300-4000EUR, I'd take it for sure since I'm struggling with the regular bass weight during commute

I love the shape, great for seated playing on either leg. Still hesitant on headless, though.

I own the prog 4 string and she is totally right, it is an incredible instrument. What she missed about these basses is the push pull knob that allows you to switch from active to passive mode. It allows for an amazing tonal range for the instrument. Great review!

Beautiful bass, but if they were cheaper I’d honestly consider it. But for something like this, your investing for a unique sound (which you could with with literally any other bass) and just the added comfort of a headless.
