In the midst of “it's so over”, I found there was, within me, an invincible “we're so back”.

I JUST NOW notice this is probably the most SMT thing Persona ever did with its cast. The characters' objectives conflicting eachother that ends up in all of them fighting for what they believe is the "best" choice. Even the division of characters are similar to the aligments. Akihiko and Ken are law (maintining the status quo), Yukari and Mitsuru are chaos (using their power to bring change for what its mainly an individualistic goal), and Junpei and Koromaru are neutral (not agreeing with the other causes and mainly stalling the conflict).

Sorta wild how sorrowful Junpei is right before his fight, then he starts acting cheerful again just to keep the mood up for his friends, people forget about my man too much, a homie 'till the end.

If Metis’ primary goal was to protect Aigis, why didn’t she have any healing skills 😭

First time I heard the song:
*Sees name*
Hm. Doesn't sound bad.
*Clicks video and listens to the intro*
Hm. This must be an emotional song.
*the drop*

This song is so perfect for Aigis, mechanical and synthetic yet full of emotion.

This is one of the most memorable battle theme for me.

Where we fight our friends that represent 3 phase of time itself.

Yukari and Mitsuru represent "Past" (They wont accept the death of door-kun)

Junpei and koromaru represent "Present" (Confused of what to do and dont want to move forward)

Akihiko and Ken represent "Future" (Door-kun is death so we need to move forward)

Man this song really hits it

I'm still not sure why losing to Junepi and Koromaru still gives you a game over if they pretty much agree to leave the past alone anyways.

Yukari's entire character arc in the main game was growing to trust S.E.E.S and especially the protagonist, only to have that relationship ripped away. It's completely natural that someone would act how she does in The Answer. Yes, it's horribly illogical, but people don't generally act logical when under that kind of stress. It's not out of character at all for Yukari to act the way she does. If anything, Mitsuru acts out of character by siding with her, but it's reasonable to believe that she may have made the decision with similar reasons to Yukari and possibly that she just wants to support Yukari no matter what.

(technically P5R spoilers) It's also worth noting that Persona games aren't always meant to be taken perfectly literally. Events like the antagonist's objective in the third semester of Persona 5 Royal aren't literally telling the player to reject an ideal reality, it's saying to reject escapism, that escaping from the pain will never let you grow and improve as a person. Similarly, The Answer isn't necessarily saying that people who are struggling with grief will try to end the world, it's just portraying how an individual trying to cope with the loss of a loved one might make some terrible decisions.

I'm not trying to say Answer is the pinnacle of writing, but the only thing dumb about the fight with S.E.E.S is the actual workings of the silly tournament nonsense. The character's motivations all make sense from their perspective, similar to how spinoffs like P4AU and PQ/PQ2 have dumb plot mechanics but fantastic character interactions.

I think that this music fits well as a theme for aigis in general. It’s mix of synth instruments and piano moments make it fitting for her personality where she’s a machine with a human heart. Phenomenal track, great pseudo final boss rush thing as well

They should make a full anime cutscene of Yukari crying in Reload after Metis and Aigis defeat her and Mitsuru.

I love the constant fight between guitar and synth going back and forth representing the fight between Aigis’s human soul and robot body. In the chorus when the guitar kicks the synth out and screams loud is so beautiful!

Don't hate Yukari. Thank her. All her complaining magicked up a damn good boss theme...

I feel so bad for shooting a dog and a child with my robot hands.

Yukari wasn't right BUT she acted just like a normal human being would act, doesn't matter if it's childish or stupid, human emotion knows no limit, she wanted to try and save the one person that helped her overcome her father's death and was there for her when trying to mend her relationship with her mom, but he DIED to save all of them, he probably was the SEES member that was closer to Yukari's personal life and without him it's like she lost her emotional pillar, all crumbled when all started to be better. That's why i don't get people when they say Yukari lost all her development or wasn't in character from her to act that way, in October she says after Shinjiro´s death "Not when a close friend just died, I can´t just forget about it and move on... i´m not that strong" it´s totally in character from her.

I just finished "The Answer" last night and knew this song existed but not when it played, so when it started playing during Akihiko and Ken fight I started tearing up a bit
