I feel like we're forgetting Kuma was part of the Revolutionary Army, so he knew Monkey D. Dragon. This means that not only does he know about the crackhead, he knows the crackhead's dad. So the fight between Moria and Luffy, from Kuma's perspective, is basically a "friend" fighting his best friend's crackhead son.

The best part though is when Kuma sends off the ghost teenager she tells him she’d want a goth vacation and Kuma’s immediate thought is Mihawk. PLUS the crackhead is the son of Kuma’s best boss buddy so that’s also gotta add some layers to the whole thing 😂
