For me it has the same error message when importing, albeit without success. Do you know what I could have done wrong?

I have found an answer in a forum.
For everyone with this problem:

Thank you. I use blender for a lot of my 3D modeling, as I am used to it. The amazon game engine is more android friendly. I do like python as a language for games, But I am not doing any thing to robust and am a creature of habit. Like your tutorial please do more on physics and how to match them up from Blender to Lumberyard, if possible.
Thanks again.

I have a question, whenever I import FBX models, nothing shows up. How do I fix this?

Brian, Lumberyard is changing quite rapidly during its beta phase. Your book was announced when Lumberyard was in version 1.6. Version 1.10 was released yesterday. What is the current status of the Lumberyard book? Do subsequent updates to Lumberyard delay the book?

This menu seems to have changed. I'm not sure where the "Import FBX" option is anymore.
