Richard Pinkerton from Nutts Corner, Co. Antrim started his zero grazing journey with a mounted front mower on a John Deere 7530 and a silage wagon picking up the grass behind. When he seen the benefits of zero grazing he connected the Grass Technology team and ordered a zero grazer, the proper machine for the job.

If the cows are not on the grass how do you fertilize it, do you spread the menure back on it?

I'm not really understanding what the point of this is. Why wouldn't you just cut this hay and bale it as silage? That's what we do it works well. We easily Bale enough in the spring to cover all of our needs throughout the year.
