I'M AMERICAN. NOT FILIPINO AMERICAN, BUT AMERICAN. I LIVED IN DAVAO FOR 3 YEARS, IN 1981. IT WAS A DANGEROUS CITY, MURDER WAS RAMPANT. DUTERTE FIXED ALL THAT. THERE WAS A SIGNIFICANT DECLINE AND CHANGE WHEN DUTERTE WAS PRESIDENT. DAVAO WOULD NOT BE A SAFE CITY IF IT WEREN'T FOR DUTERTE. I STAND WITH DUTERTE

The recent arrest of former Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte by the International Criminal Court (ICC) raises critical questions about global justice. While the ICC aims to hold leaders accountable for serious crimes, why are other known world figures allowed to walk and evade scrutiny? Is this a case of selective justice?

If you say so that “no one is above international law, ” shouldn’t all leaders be held accountable for their actions? The disparity in how justice is applied calls for a serious examination of world standards.

If we truly seek justice for all, how do we reconcile these inconsistencies in accountability? Are we prepared to challenge a system that favors certain leaders over third-world ones?

What about the children who were raped by their own fathers because they were addicted to drugs, women who were found in the river after work, what about the parents who were killed by their own children because they could not give them money to buy their drug habit, during Duterte's time, all drug users surrendered, we felt safer passing through the streets even without thinking that something bad would happen to us, now that BBM is the president here in the Philippines, , even outside the streets people are reaching for drugs, young people see that there is a lot of human trafficking going on now, but what did BBM say, they don't care what kind of president is that, a coward, while when Duterte was the president many people were afraid to do bad things, now i don't know what will happen in the country, innocent children are constantly being killed because of drug use, it's really serious now

Ex President Duterte deserves the right to due process to defend himself in court, the same way that all accused have the right to do so. If he is indeed not guilty of any wrongdoings as his supporters say, then there should be nothing to worry about.

So confusing... Who do you have permission to arrest our FP Duterte? We have own court or justice in the Philippines... Base for the constitution the arrested person have a right to go 1st in our court... But he arrested like convicted criminal... Forcing and harassment in deed...

You always talk about justice for the victims, but who are these victims? Drug addicts? Do they really deserve it? What about the people they killed? There have been so many cases where people died because of drugs, a 3 month old baby raped because of drugs, a father killing his children because of drugs. Do they really deserve justice? So, do you want to tolerate drug use and give justice to drug addiction?

Duterte already warned about drugs, so if you don’t want any problems, then don’t do anything wrong, is that so hard? And now you’re demanding justice?
