Off-road motorcycle racing known as "motocross" takes place on enclosed off-road tracks. Motorcycles are used by competitors in the motocross discipline of racing. The races must be between one and three miles long and provide a variety of challenges for the riders. Motocross can be more difficult than other racing sports because no two courses are alike.

To encourage motorsports, the East African Motor Sports Club was established in 1947. Since 1990, the club has concentrated on motorcycle sports and has sparked a rise in motocross competition. It began to host competitions in accordance with FIM (Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme) and the Continental Union FIM Africa through the Kenya Motosports Federation.

Kenyans are renowned for their tenacity and dedication in all that they undertake. The Kenyan Motocross team is having an impact everywhere it goes as motorcross becomes more and more popular. The Kenyan team has taken part in numerous competitions, including those in close-by nations, and is regarded as a fierce rival in the East African region. As more and more spectators turn out to cheer on the cyclists in the many regional events throughout Kenya, the fan base is expanding quickly.They have not only participated on a personal basis, but they have also established several organizations to unite the riders.
