Data Modeling Meetup Munich: An Introduction to Focal with Patrik Lager
Показать описание
Most of you should know about Data Vault at this point. But do you know there are several interesting related modeling techniques as well? In this presentation, Swedish data modeler Patrik Lager will introduce us to Focal.
Focal Framework and its Focal Modelling method was first implemented as an Enterprise Data Warehouse in 1998 (still running!). Focal Modeling is part of the Ensemble Modeling family with Data Vault and Anchor Modelling. Patrik will go through the basic principles and concepts of a Focal implementation on an overview level.
Speaker:
Patrik Lager has worked in the area of information architecture, information models and integration solutions (DW/SOA etc.) for the last 20+ years. He is a consultant at Top Of Minds (Sweden) and has taken on assignments both as an Enterprise Architect as well as in almost all roles in a development program/project. Patrik is one of the main drivers of the Focal Framework with its Focal Modeling method that is part of the Ensemble Modeling family.
