Thanks. It's weird, I don't think I have ever ran into that before. I model the profile with the default axis. But once done the component had its axis rotated? fixed now, thanks again.

Hi John,

When you first start, you pick the bottom plate as a profile. Does that plate need to be a group, component or exploded? I've tried all three but when I click the bottom plate to start building, the mouse over says "not a profile member". I'm sure I'm missing something simple....

Thanks,
Jeff

I use house builder to make my walls.
Do I need to change something about the wall?
When I use the pick from model it will not show up in the window.
Does the wall itself have to be a component?
Is it a Mac thing.

for some reason my stud components are coming in laying down(not verticle) Am I missing something? I have created my profile and have built my stud but when I pick it as a component it shows up laying horizontally? Any help would be appreciated.

how do you add windows and doors?

I've been using housebuilder for framing and while it is still available it has never been updated it seems that it is much more user friendly and faster than Profile Builder 2...
