I realized for the first time in my life that there was an inner world as vast and mysterious as the outer, and that it was a source of—potential source of knowledge and insight and wisdom and intuition... all these capacities I had no idea existed! I felt like I'd lived my entire life on the top six inches of a wave on top of an ocean I didn't even know existed. It just was radically transformative! How could I have lived my life utterly out of touch with this inner world? As I looked around the culture, it looked like most people were also out of touch with this. Somehow, we as a culture, were sleepwalking through life unaware of the resources and capacities and gifts that we bore within us.
