Rotating Magnetic Field (Full Lecture)

In this lesson we'll take a look at the rotating magnetic field common to 3 phase AC machines, motors and generators. We'll define the term "synchronous speed" and examine those properties that influence it. Additionally, we'll demonstrate that swapping any two applied phases results in complete reversal of the rotating magnetic field. Finally, we'll define and learn to calculate percent slip.
