Nowadays the most popular styles in Malaysia are rectangle hijab (we call it "shawl") and square hijab (called "tudung bawal"), especially among young ladies. There are wide varieties from plain colors to various prints and patterns, produced by our local brands. Instant hijabs (called "tudung sarung") are still widely popular especially among older ladies, but the styles changed over the years to be much simpler (without the visor, beading and layering)
