The religious leaders should have under stood all that Jesus was saying but because of their false teachings or traditions they were all confused or they pretended not to understand. Some think that what one believes is of little consequence but that is definitely not the case. It is only truth, the Truth that sanctifies or makes one holy or righteous enough to enter and live in Heaven. Seek for Truth as for hid treasure.

Romans 12:3 “For I say, through the grace given unto me, to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think; but to think soberly, according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith.”
