I used to work for an attorney (in San Jose btw) who was married to an attorney. (Each had their own practice). The husband used to get calls from someone who would hit him up for legal advice. This went on for years. The wife started to tell him that he should be charging; that the guy was taking advantage of his knowledge. But the husband (who likes to talk) didn't mind. Eventually, the guy called the attorney and set him up with the biggest case he had ever had (millions). The wife finished the story by telling me she no longer offers unsolicited advice about his business lol

I had one business owner in my town tell me today to list some items he had on ebay with 30% profit for me. Had another business owner said she had jewelry she wanted to give me to sell on my store for nothing. She just wanted to give it to me because she knew I sold jewelry. Awesome couple of days.

Being kind and thoughtful of others pays off. I think patience is good too. Sometimes someone is looking for these items you just need to wait for them.
For books I have a book case and I put a number on each book on the bottom with a number so easy to find. I no longer have to dig through a bin! Wish I had thought of this before . Makes pulling items a breeze and I do not use a number again.

Great video Mike! One of the best and informative ones I have seen from you. I love selling on Facebook marketplace. It is my main place. No fees or anything so buyers also get a good deal. Downside is smaller market but has worked many times

Hey Mike. You might want to pick up a heavy-duty tarp from HD or Lowes to cover your truck bed to keep your boxes from getting wet. That and some bungee cords should keep them dry.

If you can't find boxes for golf clubs, I used to buy them 4 x 4 x 60. I think they were 1.50 a piece and you just add that into shipping you can buy them 25 at a time

My husband found our 2nd Black's Law Book - same one as you showed in this video. Along with it he also found 1985 West's Legal Thesaurus Dictionary. He wasn't certain on getting it - and I suggested he look at bundling the two books together. It was the 2nd day of an estate sale and the books were 1/2 off - so, $3.50 for them together. If you hadn't shared a few years back, we may not have considered their value - especially when you are looking at dozens to hundreds of books at a sale and your eyes need to ZERO in on what is valuable!
