Ford, GM and RAM truck CEOs are still being dumb. Prices are at an all time high and their plans are backfiring in a huge way. Truck buyers are getting smarter and now there are better options for buying trucks in 2024. Here are some ridiculously overprice trucks and a few options that could save you some money this year.

Why would you buy a vehicle that is grossly over priced, poorly engineered, sub standard reliability, very poor resale value as prices drop you will lose money, full of technology that is very expensive to maintain, replacement parts that are extremely over priced , from a dealer that can't hold on to their technicians because they don't pay fairly ? ? ?

At this point there are more guys in dealership lots making videos about the collapsing car market than actual buyers

When a Luxury Sports Car costs less than a pick up truck, you know something is wrong.

Until stupid people stop spending 70k to 150k for these trucks, all the manufacturers will continue charging that.

Bought a used Chevy 1500, not a looker, now has 373K and runs great. $1800 and I've owned it for six years. Saving money every day.

I am a retired American construction worker living in Thailand. 2 years ago I bought a brand new Toyota Hilux pick-up truck that is a turbo diesel with extended cab with the conversion to US dollars I paid $18 and a half thousand dollars with 150 miles on the speedometer brand new from the Toyota dealer I bought a beautiful big condo on the ocean in bangsaray Thailand 42, 000$ USA money. I was back in the United States last summer to visit friends and family and could not believe in my wildest dreams the cost of everything. I really don't see any future of coming back to the US. The medical services in Thailand are as good as anything in the United States so that's my story

Just before Covid hit I bought an off lease 2017 Chevy Colorado LT V6 crew cab long bed 4x4 with the tech package with 27, 129 miles for $26, 975. That was an out the door price including tax. I was able to pay them cash so that was a real price of what I paid. Now it's 2024 and the truck has 41, 000 miles on it. It still looks brand new inside and out. Because of the crazy truck prices it is now worth more then I paid for it. I'm 70 years old and have bought many vehicles. This is the first time any of them have actually gone up in value.

Bring back the basics. Bring back the trucks from the 50s-80s. No electronics no frills. Just good ol steel and horsepower. Thats all we wanted anyway. No need to make a new model every year. Find what works and stick with it. Make it to last and make ot affordable.

It's no secret that the auto manufacturers have been building vehicles that no one wants.

Ford should make a BANKRUPTCY EDITION F-150 $200, 000.

I bought my 1987 Chevy pick up for $15, 000. It had an AM/FM stereo in it and new air conditioning air-conditioning was more money back then 5.7 L 350 engine with a 700 R transmission I put 400, 000 miles on it regular oil changes, it was a bare-bones truck they don’t make stuff like that anymore. Everybody has to have the screens to the seat warmer and whatever else they can think of. That’s why they’re so expensive if some company would just make a bare-bones truck and take all that crap out of there I think we will be better off.

I have been watching YouTube channels telling me not to buy a new truck yet because the Auto collapse was coming…….. that was 11 months ago, and I’m still waiting and truck prices have gone up!

What is different between a truck today and a truck ten years ago?? NOTHING but the infotainment system. These prices are absurd.
