New Utah flag raised

The new Utah state flag is now being flown over the Capitol building.

On Wednesday morning, Sen. Dan McCay, R-Riverton, who sponsored the bill, joined Governor Spencer Cox, Senate President J. Stuart Adams, House Speaker Brad Wilson and other state leaders in raising it over the Utah State Capitol.

"We decided to get it up and get it moving and show it off on this beautiful day," Sen. McCay told FOX 13 News shortly after the flag was raised.

Looks fantastic, a great design that represents Utah to the rest of the country and world far better then our old Seal on a Bedsheet. I love the old flag, but I'm proud of the new flag.

The blue is too dark to represent the sky. The red should be more orange like the actual color of red rock. The hue matters if you’re trying to reference the natural beauty. Bad design.

I don’t no why they would change something that has nothing wrong with it and we have stood up to this for 40 years now there changing are stars and strips to some animals house like hmm
