Your not going to get the pressure angle or the correct tooth form with this lathe tool I'd like to see it fit the mate.

Kindergarten level demo in soft aluminium. No visible way of locking at each index position, not even an accurate degree wheel, wheel not pinned to job. Even a toy uses a brass spline at a minimum, steel for any serious torque transmission.

Clamping a workpiece between two live-centers, and carving splines with no rotation---only the force applied by the crossfeed screw?!?!?

First, that would be terrible for the crossfeed screw; second, there's no possible way the resulting piece would be worth three cents to anyone.
