Denean - Mother Earth Song (As One) with Lyrics

“Mother Earth Song” (originally titled "As One") is from Denean's Fire Prayer album. It a song written and performed by the artist. It is still titled “As One” on the album, but since more of you have been searching for it under the title “Mother Earth Song”, Denean decided to include that name here. It seems Denean’s fans have adopted that title :-)

You may be familiar with some of Denean's other compositions such as "To the Children" from The Weaving (also referred to unofficially as "Flowers of the Sea"), "All My Relations" (Fire Prayer), "Sundancer" (Thunder), "Crossing the Event Horizon" from WIKU (Sun Child Returning) 432 hz and numerous other songs from Denean's earlier releases.

The first time I heard this song was at the Southeastern Unitarian Universalist women's conference that I attended on my 21st birthday. Somehow, I knew these words and sang along with tears pouring down my face. I bought the tape that weekend and sang my new daughter to sleep every night with these songs -- she just turned 30 this year, making me 50. I've carried this music with me ever since.
