Yeah. It’s better to think of all the games as mainline. The numbered titles only seem to be the ones with Sora, Donald and Goofy altogether. The fact that the console games are only the first story arc is insane but thanks to the storytelling seen in the second arc from the mobile games I am cautiously optimistic that the upcoming third arc will be much more cohesive. Ah the pitfalls of trying to make a game unique for each entry.

The spin-offs are part of the main series, they just have different gameplay. If you want to understand what’s happening, you can’t skip a game because you assume it’s not important.
