Dear General Motors Team,

I hope this finds you well and thriving in the pursuit of automotive excellence. I am writing to express my heartfelt appeal for the revival of an iconic piece of automotive history: the Pontiac Fiero GT. This remarkable rear mid-engine sports car, celebrated for its thrilling design and spirited performance, deserves a graceful return to the roads of today.

The name “Fiero, ” Italian for "Proud" or "Fierce, " encapsulates the essence of what the Fiero GT represents: a vehicle that stirs the soul and ignites the imagination. With its stunning, Italian-inspired race car design, the Fiero was not just a car; it was a declaration of individuality and passion. Imagine reintroducing this masterpiece—its sleek lines and captivating silhouette—into a market that craves excitement and adventure.

While the Chevrolet division has the Corvette and the Silverado, two popular and distinct market segments, the GM brand is missing a free spirited, sporty, 2-seater sports car in it's line up. While Chevrolet already boasts the iconic Corvette, the GM Fiero would offer a smaller, more accessible option for those who dream of owning a sports coupe but find themselves deterred from the Corvette by its higher price tag. The GM Fiero would attract a new audience to the GM brand and invigorate it.

Resurrecting and maintaining the Fiero logo, featuring a rising phoenix, symbolizes performance and rebirth, perfectly aligning with the ethos of the Fiero spirit. This is a powerful emblem that resonates deeply with car enthusiasts and casual drivers alike, invoking a sense of nostalgia while promising an exhilarating driving experience. In a world dominated by SUVs and crossovers, the reimagined GM Fiero GT would appeal to those longing for a vehicle that offers more than just transportation, more than just utility.

The Fiero would embody a celebration of performance, style, and heritage, making it an attainable option for anyone eyeing the Mazda MX-5, Toyota 86, Subaru BRZ, Nissan Z, and other similar sports coupes. However, I truly believe GM could elevate that platform with improved fit and finish, enhanced performance, and an even more compelling choice!

Amidst a growing interest in electrification and sustainability, the new Fiero could be electrified, merging the thrill of its legacy with cutting-edge sustainable technology. This blend of tradition and innovation could mark a significant milestone for GM, attracting a new generation of enthusiasts who value not only speed and agility but also a commitment to the future of automotive design.

I urge you to consider the potential for this reimagined icon. Bringing back the Fiero GT would not only honor the legacy of an admired brand but also reinvigorate the sporting spirit of General Motors and ignite the passion for driving once more.

I envision a future where the Fiero proudly returns, captivating hearts and souls as it did in its heyday.

I urge you to forward this to your engineering and design teams for consideration. Thank you for your time and attention.
