Perrottet government listens to backbench concerns about COVID powers extension

NSW Water Minister Melinda Pavey says the state government listened to “our backbench and our communities” when it came to concerns about a push to extend the emergency COVID powers.

It comes after Health Minister Brad Hazzard’s proposal to extend the state government’s pandemic powers until 2023 was quickly shut down by Premier Dominic Perrottet.

“There was a fear that a new lockdown could happen,” Ms Pavey told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“We weren’t going to do that but this is about listening to our backbench and our communities and just moving forward to keep NSW safe.”

If your ask your local Victorian state lower house member if they voted for the "horror bill" they will reply Yes, as they voted for it-at least the Labor ones will have, as they have the majority. If you then ask your member whom of their constituents they consulted before voting on the Bill, you will probably not get a reply. If you then ask that Member of they think it is a good idea to summarily extract people off the streets, for no valid reason other than their "character" or political ideas or stance, to be detained indefinitely, you will not get a reply, as such an admission is a career-threatener. But you already have the answer-because they voted for the Bill in the first instance. The ;awful mandate of a politician is to act in their best interests and also to advocate for those best interests. But they do not do that, because at election time, they are all sweetness and light, to get you to vote for them. Then, they are off like a robber's dog, having scarpered with your proxy vote, to do with whatever they like. They never consult you about anything they ever vote for, and never will. That is misrepresentation, and the crime of Misuse of Office, which is punishable by a jail term. The Victorian people need to fully realise what I am telling you, and if you hopefully do, you will be asking these questions of your local Kennel (I call the Parliament The Kennel, because there are a lot of the dogs in there!) Member, and express your lack of confidence in them, and tell them that their career is over. Politicis is just a fraud, and that is it.

Light touch when they get to decide whether we have to take have a medical procedure that has no information on long term effects or truth about short term effect, just to visit our families and you can bet when the vac comes out for children next year that schools will be bared for the unvaccinated.
