A Categorical syllogism is an argument consisting of three categorical propositions (major premise, minor premise and conclusion) and three terms (major term, minor term & conclusion) each appearing exactly twice.
The major term is the predicate of the conclusion and is found in the major premise.
The minor term is the subject of the conclusion and is found in the minor premise.
The middle term is found in two premises but not in the conclusion.
