Made this... I love this onion ring more than the ones covered in bread crumbs...
But I used canned shandy instead of beer, and I added some cornstarch/potato starch with the flour mix for longer lasting crunch 😋

I tried the recipe and one tip is that don't leave the ring too long in the oil, if you do the onion will shrivel and burn. Try taking it out when it's a REALLY light color. This may be obvious but my first few rings became really crunchy.
