Let's review a 2025 Chevrolet Traverse RS! In this video, I'll talk about what the new Traverse is, how I fell about the interior space, and what it's like to drive it.

The third generation Chevy Traverse was completely redesigned, inside and out, it sits on a new platform and received a new powertrain. You can get it either in seven, or eight seating configuration, depending on the trim. Pricing starts at around 39-thousand for the base, 8-passenger, FWD LS and tops at 58 grand for the tested RS with AWD.

The new Traverse sits on GM’s modular VSS platform, shared with the GMC Acadia and the Buick Enclave, and features strut front suspension and a multilink setup in the back, combined with regular, passive dampers. In the case of the RS trim that we’re testing today, the suspension was stiffened up for better handling, but the ride is still compliant.

You can get it either in 7, or 8 seating configuration, depending on the trim. Pricing starts at around $39,000 for the base, 8-passenger, FWD LS and tops at $58,000 for the tested RS. There is also more rugged ZL1 trim available.

All models are powered by an all-new 2.5L turbocharged 4-cylinder, that delivers 328 horsepower and 326 lb-ft of torque. It’s good for around 19 MPG in the city, 24 on highway, and 21 combined.

Both, FWD and AWD variants are paired to an 8-speed conventional automatic and the Traverse can tow up to 5,000 lbs, if equipped with a Trailering Package.

Other SUVs to consider are a Ford Explorer, Chevrolet Tahoe, Toyota Grand Highlander, Hyundai Palisade, Honda Pilot, Hyundai Palisade, Hyundai Santa Fe, GMC Acadia, Nissan Pathfinder, or a Kia Telluride.

I loved my 2018 High Country Traverse - it was the best car I had ever owned. It had 95k miles on it and started to need some repairs that were expensive, so I sold it to Carvana for 20k. I ordered a Blackout RS Traverse. After reading the reviews about the engine noise I started freaking out. What did I do?! Then I took possession of the car and drove it, expecting the worst, ready to regret my decision. Honestly, when I first drove it, I thought, "THAT?! That's what people are complaining about?" - It sounds like a car. No regrets. Plus, I have the lifetime powertrain and 10-year 100k warranty, which was better than my High Country. I appreciate the video you put together. Very informative.

We just bought one and the little 4-banger turbocharged engine delivers a stunning 328 horsepower! Ride is great! I miss the console gear shift. With this car Chevy just went back 50 years in design by puttung the gear shift back on the freaking column!

You can't please all the people all the time , but I know people wanted a 4 cylinder to save on gas but I don't think the 4 cylinder is gonna sale . And all this new technology is not needed , just my opinion because I'm Old School and if General Motors would remake the 2009 model Traverse LT I would buy it in a heartbeat . I love my 2009 Chevrolet Traverse LT and it's still running just fine .

This car should only cost like 40, 000 at the most. It’s ridiculous how high these prices are

Much prefer my 2018 High Country with the 3.6 V-6 engine. Great car, very comfortable and the interior with the tan leather is much more attractive. I would like the new electronics but that is not enough reason to trade.

As a z71 owner, I agree with most of the review. Toyota grand Highlander hypermax. It's my preferred vehicle at some point. The big reason that I don't want to switch right now is the super cruise, which is very helpful during long trips.

I wish Chevy would add some exciting colors like a bright blue, yellow, orange, or green. I am tried of seeing boring black, white, bland gray. I also wish that I could get rid of the worthless 3rd row seat and have that space for a storage well.

Yes, Chevy/GM seem to be going in a right direction, unlike Stellantis. Just fix this engine, 2.5 4-cylinder in such a big SUV is a joke...

Strangely, you can get the much smaller Blazer with the 6 cylinder engine.

Kind of don't understand the point of the RS. It's cool that it has modified suspension but that engine is a no from me... But great review. I like the live commentary in the driving impressions segment!

Why captains chairs? Bench only available in one trim. Is that what people really want?

Your mileage figures are off. In my Z71 I get over 28 mpg on the highway. 24 in the highway. The interior materials are cheap, when I compare them to my Nissan Murano, they are not even close. The center console is the worst.

No offense but your speech, the way you keep stretching out words for emphasis but without change in tone or giving any energy made this hard to watch. I agree with the cheap comments, but chevy trying to make a profit.

They are really fcking up with the SUVs this year. I get it though they want money for a smaller engine. Got to sell garbage to make a quick buck. It'd going to hurt them this next year for sure.
