I think that this could have gone a bit better, but it is not bad for my first try, and it is good enough to be wearable.

I like that natural fiber was used for this collar instead of synthetic and learning to use tea for dying white fabric is great.

Absolutely lovely!
You should sell these as many of us are not as talented but would love one. Much luck and love!

Your collar looks lovely and I really like the reworked shape, it sits really well.

Nice collar! The pink dye could come from the red tags tea bags, perhaps? ....

Lovely work. Well done Ms. Adelaide. And a wonderful way to bring an antique piece forward in time.
_Small suggestion_ - you could make the patterning of the lace collar available to your Patreon people (not that I have a clue about how such a thing would work, I've just seen it done on other channels). That way, if you ever decide to donate the original to a collection, you could include it as part of the provenance.

What re-enacters of victorian fashion and era ALWAYS seem to forget is starching and goffering. starching lace was just as important as the washing itself. All lace was starched and ruffles were always starched and goffered into shape.

I love that you're using my favorite tea!

I’m a bit obsessed with vintage/antique lace. I’ve found that you can get it pretty white by soaking it in Retro Soak. After the soak I very gently hand wash it in Eucalan and line dry. Over 100 yds later, I’ve never had an issue with even the most delicate laces.

I think your collar turned out beautifully. It will look great with so many things!

Could pink color have been from tea bag labels, I realize this hasn’t happened on prior tea dyes but they could have changed label dys🤷‍♀️ anyway was good. Video good instructions great to see another job well done! Thank you

Very pretty! I find Oxiclean meant for spotting clothing really keeps my whites white & removes stains & discolorations very nicely! It also removes any biological stains. I buy the refill bottles of the spray remover and simply pour a good circle of it in all my light clothing loads. Unlike bleach there has been no damage or odd yellowing as well as no bleach odors.

I think the pink comes from boiling the Red tab on the tea-string😔

But very lovely Lace-Collar😊
