It’s amazing how Vesper was only in one movie but her presence was felt throughout the entire Daniel Craig era

We all have a Vesper Lynd in our memories

Vesper’s theme is so haunting. I love the scene in Quantum of Solace when Bond is drunk talking to Mathis, then they cue Vesper’s theme. You feel how damaged Bond really is inside.

This is that type of soundtrack you listen to when the homies aren’t around.

Vesper's presence permeated every Craig film like a ghost. This theme was sampled in each theme.

I get very nostalgic now thinking about the Vesper scenes from CR (such as the shower scene). Can't believe it's been 15 years since that film came out. It felt so fresh and new at the time, so it's hard to see it as an 'old film' now. It's become a classic for sure.

Honestly one of the most iconic Bond scenes. Watching Bond quietly comfort and cradle a traumatized woman in a shower as their dress clothes get soaked. Just shows a new depth to his character. One we very rarely see throughout the franchise.

A theme that will bring to mind for many of us, the thought of the one that got away, and the good times we had with that person along with the loss.

I can't see there being another woman like Vesper in any ongoing Bonds in the future. We don't live in the same world anymore, sadly. Mine was a woman that lives across the Atlantic. I remember the first time we met. Magical and I never wanted to let her go. Distance pulled us apart and even though she is married now I am happy for her. Yet, I still wonder what could have been. This song definitely brought that all to the forefront this evening. Still...I am happy that she is happy.

Saw No Time To Die in theaters awhile back, just watched it again last night & now I physically own all 5 Craig films. I’ve seen them all countless times. That first theme (Vesper) depresses the hell out of me. Cause it’s present in all 5 films. Bond was clearly heartbroken the entire time after what had happened to Vesper. His true love.

I definitely saw what was coming near the end of No Time To Die. The Craig era of films is definitely my favorite out of all of them. I felt like I was with Bond throughout his whole journey. And now that it’s all over, I keep replaying that first theme. Feeling depressed as hell…knowing it’s the end of a great era 😭

This track gets me emotional. Especially with her death and how much it affected bond throughout his life. It’s like he never quite got over the guilt of losing her.

In the novel, the character explains that she was born "on a very stormy evening", and that her parents named her "Vesper",  Latin for "evening". Fleming created a cocktail recipe in the novel that Bond names after her. The "Vesper martini" became very popular after the novel's publication, and gave rise to the famous "shaken, not stirred" catchphrase immortalised in the Bond films.
