The reason why they feel for each other so much is that she still sees the good in him despite his Punisher ways. Regardless of that brief romance with the barmaid, Karen has seen Frank at his worse and still believes he is a good man so he feels strongly for her. She is drawn to him because although she presents herself as the moral person she would like to be, she has bodies to her name. The guilt of those killings haunt her and put doubt in herself as being good. She feels that she is connected to Frank because they have both killed people and they both have a moral compass they follow. Matt could never connect with Karen on that level. She feels that if there is good in Frank, then there must be good in her.

I don't understand how people are dissing on Kastle and shipping Matt and Karen? Sure she did have an infatuation, but Matt did her dirty after Elektra appeared. Matt was ready to start a new life with Elektra whereas for Frank and Karen, they have a converging ground for sympathizing with each other. Matt treated Karen as a door mat. Frank and Karen are so much more together.

I actually watched the Punisher first before watching the Daredevil and had no idea who dafuq was Matt Murdock, lol. Now that I'm watching Daredevil, I'm at season 2 and everything is clearer for me now 😄
