you obsessively research good instagram places. you decide to go to arashiyama, kyoto. you look for the shinkansen. (btw, thats around 30.000 yen or $200 usd from tokyo and back).
you know you must be there at like 6am at the latest or else you cant make pictures due to it being overrun. you now have to look for a hotel and go a day sooner. you get up at 4am to do makeup, put on the dress, travel up there. you run around looking for the one spot (kimono forest), setup the cam. luckily in japan you dont need to worry it being stolen the second you turn around. but you need to redo some makeup, and perfect the outfit. damn, the light has changed, reposition the camera. record. do it again, record, oh it would have been perfect, if not someone else would have walked in the shot. why do i need to make videos, pics are so much easier. you do another take. some photograph who got there at 4 to do bamboo grove pics has decided to do some pics at your location now, so he is waiting. maybe he is impatiant. the shot was no good, you need another. finally you get the good shot. you head back to the hotel. its almost checkout time. you check out. you still have a few hours before you need to head back to the train station, what else is good. well, theres a few options, but they all require about 30-60 minutes bus rides from where you at, and you need to get from there to the station, thats another 30minutes, so from the 4hrs you have left, you actually only have like 2.5hours. and wherever you will go, it will be overrun and there is no chance your gonna get another perfect instashot.
