I swore off Owlcrate unboxings so good job with the title there hun!! <3 It is such a shame because, as you said, there aren't enough middle grade boxes, but it's not worth it when people are hurt or put in danger for it! <3

It’s a shame what happened with Owlcrate. To me, they cared more about the profit of the merch than the community they were hurting. I know they apologized and maybe it’s sincere, but like you said it’s not my apology to accept or decline. And you put it so well that if even one person is hurt, that’s one too many. And I saw a lot of hurt people in those comments. ☹️ The whole thing was careless and I decided to cancel my subscription and no longer support their company. It’s sad, but it is what it is. Love you Gavin, you’re such a good hearted person and I support you in your own decision.

The dress ups were great Gav!. I loved these unboxings!. This last box was lovely- I loved the moon and the stand as well as the kaleidoscope.

Really respect & understand your decision to stop receiving the boxes

It is a shame that Owlcrate made this decision to promote HP in their other boxes, I honestly didn’t expect them to go down that route. The Owlcrate junior boxes are absolute amazing and it has been great having you showcase them for as long as you have.
Totally respect your decision though to make the choice that you have and to keep your channel a place where everyone feels comfortable and welcome xx

As a trans person I thought it was disrespectful of Owlcrate’s founder to choose a franchise over a marginalized community that is targeted by the franchise’s creator. HP was my childhood too. I collected wands and the movies are my comfort movies, the first movie is a warm hug when I’m sad. I still unhauled all the books (except for book 1 in German). We’re talking about a rich white woman who uses her platform to spread hate and misinformation of my community. I’m no longer supporting JKR because I’m not gonna give my money and attention to a woman who harms me and other trans people around the world. We are put under harsher restrictions making it harder for us to get the help we need and the way she framed us in her essay… It hurts.
