Thanks for this first Hands-On review Mike! I find the video to be a bit contrasty at times when you go into the shadows, but I'm sure the HDR or D-Log would fix it. Cheers!

I may sell my avata and purchase the 2, if I can get enough out of my avata. I have goggles 2, mc2, Avata, an extra battery, nd filters, battery strap, landing gear, and all other accessories that come with it in original box. I've flown it just a handful of times and never crashed it. I wonder if I could get $800 for it. I wonder if it is worth selling for $800 and paying the extra $3-$400 for the 2?

I don't think I'll like the goggles 3. I wear a hat most of the time & just turn it backwards when flying. The new forehead brace and strap battery make it seem like wearing a hat backwards won't work or will look more goofy than I already look.

I kinda wish the forehead bumper was optional and the battery was removeable and able to just put in your pocket.

The scheduled obsolescence according DJI. This drone is still so difficult tl fly. It also takes too much time to connect the helmet, the remote control and the drone together.

Do you know if a 65W USB-C Wall Charger for my laptop can be safely used to charger the Avata 2 batteries? DJI wants $79 USD for their charger whereas a $20 65W USB-C charger should work just as well. Thanks for providing the awesome videos

Did you get the foam insert for the googles or are you wearing it without like me? It was to be included with what’s in the box and they have since changed the website

You didnt even try it on sport mode. If you think normal is fast just wait until you change to sport. I have the avata 2 and its a blast.

I’d love to see a comparison between a cinebot 35 or something similar. I’m looking to upgrade my cinewhoops and the avata 2 is checking almost all the boxes, the major downside is having to use the dji controller so id have to pack a second controller. I care more about image quality than flight performance. Great content as always!!!

On your first test flight were you down the hill? Thats what it appears as your home point was lower. Was that the cause of the loss of signal?
