I’m confused about pauses during a war. When the US had a huge victory at Midway over Japanese, nobody in their right minds called for giving Japan time to improve their military. Same as when the Allies were invading Europe. President Roosevelt had announced that we would only stop when we won and the other sides capitulated.
Israel has never won a war. All those have supposedly ended with a pause. The IDF this time must keep fighting until the terrorists surrender completely or are erased.

What good is a ceasefire? It will only benefit Hamas. There was a ceasefire in effect on October 7th. How'd that work out for Israel? And even during that ceasefire Hamas was constantly firing rockets into Israel.
