👉 Learn how to find the complement and the supplement of a given angle. Two angles are said to be complementary if they add up to 90 degrees (pi/2 in radians) and are said to be supplementary if they add up to 180 degrees (pi in radians). To find the complement of a given angle in radians we subtract the given angle from pi/2 and to find the supplement of a given angle in radians we subtract the given angle from pi.

therefore the formula for arc length is S = r(theta) where theta is the measure of the angle and since r is 1 the length of the arc is equal to the degree measure. So half a circle the arc length is pi and that is equal to the angle measure which is also 180 degrees. Probably didn't do the best job explaining but there is one explanation. Ask questions if needed

Well remember that pi is equal to 180 degrees. So if you look at the cartesian coordinate. (x and y axis) 90 degrees from the positive side of the x - axis would be the y-axis and 180 degrees would be all the way to the negative side of the x- axis. That is why I wrote pi there

okay now you are getting deep! : ) haha not really but in trigonometry are main area of focus is the unit circle. The unit circle has a radius of 1. Remember the circumference of a circle is C = 2piR. Well half way around a circle would be piR which for the unit circle is just pi. When working on angles we know that a circle is 360degrees and half a circle would be 180 degrees.

Oh okay thank you. Why does pi equal 180? Is it just a rule or is there something behind it?

HI. I don't understand how you know where to put pie. At :45 for example. Why does pie go on the left of the y axis?
