I think I was 14 or 15 when this came out. I was taking piano lessons and went right out and bought the sheet music for this and told my piano teacher I wanted to learn this. Whenever I play this, I have so many people come up and they say its beautiful and they ask what it is. Most people don't know this song, but when they hear it played, they love it.

I partly think the song was ignored because it took a pretty bold stance to talk about how Hollywood looks like this great dream from afar, but close up its a lot of lies and a lot of ruined dreams. A lot of people come with dreams and wind up broke and on the streets after being exploited. For every person that makes it big, there are hundreds who wind up like the "lonely angel" that we never hear about. It was probably a threat to a lot of the hollywood media. Beautiful song though.
