This actor makes everything look so easy and painless. I'd like to see this same scene with someone who is actually in pain from recent surgery.

This is not a bath it is a seated shower. Is bathing (ie a genuine bath, not a seated shower) ever going to be a possibility again after a TKR? I am 3 months out from surgery. My therapy is very slow going. But I still cannot imagine getting up after a bath in a wet tub. I feel more disabled than I did with a bone on bone knee!

What if your bathroom is too small for this?

Wouldn't be better to use a higher bath bench?. The transfer she performed involved more than 90 degrees of hip flexion which is contraindicated after THR (usually in a posterolateral approach)

What if the surgical side in the video were the right leg? Does that require facing the bench backwards so that the surgical leg is first lifted into the tub?

I have issues with this. I was told not to exceed a 90 angle between my torso and waist due to risk of dislo ation. So how do you wash your feet and leg if you cannot reach down. I think this is way too dangerous particularly if you are elderly or suffer other issues. I have caregivers and I slipped once but no injuries. Even if you have tub/shower with a anti slip coating BUY and antislip plastic mat for the tub /shower.
