(Broken) Meater plus Meat Thermometer

Has anyone else had trouble with their Meater Plus Meat Thermometer? Mine simply stopped working, and when I reached out to the manufacture, they ran me through an extensive series of troubleshooting steps, only to come to the same realization, that the charging block was not working. I had to buy a new block as the one year warranty had expired on this expensive Meater Thermometer.

My next video might be about the incredibly unstable wireless connection these thermometers have. When they work, they work great. But they are by no means reliable. So, keep a back up old style meat thermometer near by.

I say this because when you're cooking that expensive cut of meat, and the Meater Plus Thermometer fails, and it will, you're going to want a trusty back up.

It's unfortunate because I really like the idea of this thermometer. Is there another brand of wireless meat thermometer that you have had success with and recommend?
