I remember being in the SECC just before the concert was due to start. There was a small crowd of Moz fans waiting for refunds. I could not believe that they were happy to miss a concert by one of the greatest artists of all time because their idol wasn't playing. But while I like Moz and his music I've found that some of his fans are very strange indeed. Thanks for sharing

I don’t think Bowie ever forgave Morrissey for leaving the tour in a huff. It didn’t help matters when Morrissey slagged of Bowie for years afterwards. I wonder what Morrissey thinks about it now.
It was big news at the time. Bowie’s professionalism always shone though in the way he dealt with he media.
