You should make and sell a bezel cover for this watch, that way the magician is making a really confident and sexy statement that they could use the watch to help with their stack work, but they choose not to.

I have no issue with someone using a crib for a stack. I just think the watch is very poorly executed. The crib is hella hard to read and you have to twist the watch to use it properly. It just doesn't seem practical to me.

Even Tamariz recommended using a crib in his book, so i don't think that that specifically is an problem. The thing for me is that it is $75 and if you actually practice and perform with it for more than a month then you will probably have the stack memorized anyway. It seems like a total cash grab and i think their insistence that it's something amazing and groundbreaking is a joke

I memorized mnemonica a few months ago, but what I like about the watch is that it tells you where the named card is located in a deck that's been cut just by turning it to the card that's on the bottom. Now I don't have to worry about trying to do the math. Because I'm a lazy piece of shit. much virginity.

It's kind of a pricey crib. They sell stickers for the bottom of the tuck case that are a perfectly good crib. And as someone else pointed out, Tamariz keeps a crib on a card inside his decks. One useful thing about the watch is being able to rotate the bezel to help with the math involved with arbitrary intervals, particularly when wrapping around the ends of the deck. What bugs me about the introduction video is that they don't get that CUTTING THE DECK DOESN'T CHANGE THE ORDER OF THE CARDS. They act like a series of cuts screws up everything if you rely on your memory, which everyone who actually does any mem deck work knows is complete nonsense. Just remember: every stack is cyclical.

Great concept honestly. I just don't use stacked decks because the second a spectator says "let me shuffle", you're completely screwed on using that.

I like the watch.I can focus more on my presentation and actually talk to the spectator without trying to do some math to find the location of a card in my head, just look down at my wrist to "check the time".And it's a nice looking watch ngl.(my opinion)

I am very critical about this product. Here´s why.


Just very briefly my Stack-Experience. I´ve been into stack magic for over a year now and I use it very often.


Here´s why the product isn´t good: First of all, looking at the watch might become weird. If you´re using a stack you know that you would have to look at the watch several times in performance. In the eyes of the spectator that might seem a little tiny, just a little really tiny bit off.
Second: Stack work is hard. Although most people think the opposite way, stack work actually needs a ton of sleights and confidence to pull off. It needs to seem careless (careless card handling is a hard thing to accomplish), you need a ton of false shuffles, cuts, you will need a good cull, maybe a pass, maybe a pinky count, palming, in general, a good amount of experience with a deck of card. YEARS of practice. I don´t see how, after so much work and effort, years of practice, it would be necessary to skip a day or maybe a week of work for freaking 50 $ and you´re not even getting the same value out of it, if you really want to perform it you still need to learn the stack. And for all those who say: Oh it´s supposed to help you memorize the stack. No. It´s not, the marketing says otherwise.


I don´t care about the respect other people give me for memorizing a stack, I generally don´t really care about the opinion of many magicians, I don´t even care about magicians not respecting the method or anything. I care about Ellusionist earning money by using that most magicians are lazy or just don´t know any different opinions.


So if you were to ask me how to learn stack: Buy Mnemonica, it´s available everywhere maybe buy other books for example by Pit Hartling or Asi Wind and then just go out and perform it. You won´t forget the stack, it´s actually pretty impossible to forget, but please don´t waste 50 bucks on it.

Just practice the peek if you use this watch, because if there's magic apps that work with watches for peeks, it's the same damn thing. It's not like it's a difficult sleight and your hands are being burned. Well put: Stack Elitists.

I personally have a friend that pre-ordered it and plans on using it mostly as a checker. I think it's more valuable than the box sticker cribs I've seen. The fact that you can turn the bezel makes it easier to do some of the math you might have to do for certain effects. Is it necessary? probably not. Could it be nice to have? Sure. I don't like the idea of looking at my watch during a performance, but the way I've seen others perform, they could definitely get away with it. I seriously considered getting one because I have also been way too lazy to finish memorizing mnemonica.

I have a complete $h!t memory, but I bought Rick Lax Mnemonica trainer. Within an hour I had the stack memorized using a few seconds thought, and within 3 days I had it down perfectly, able to recall the number to card and card to number instantly. Well worth it. Again, my memory is garbage!

I see it as doing a bill switch with a tt vs without. Either way works, they have the same outcome, and if you're good with either one nobody will know anyway. I ordered it and can't wait to try it out. If it's not for me, I won't use it.
