Notes ~ Gandhiji highlights the concept of Swaraj as a rule over the self because he believed that change began from oneself. He believed that it is Swaraj when we learn to rule ourselves. Swaraj is not just freedom from the evil rule of the Britishers but taking care of one’s self-respect, self-responsibility, and capacities for self-realisation. If we have these qualities we can fight against the injustice and the dehumanizing rule of the British moreover we can fight against the injustice and obstacles that come our way. Thus we should try to control ourselves to make ourselves free because true freedom means having control over oneself.

Sir if freedom means the life free of constraints or with reasonable constraints then it must be for everyone one present in the country but as we look into our constitution childrens donot have the right to drive or to inherit the property before the age of 18 so can we say that the rights of childrens are being hampered
